Free Trees Available 

  • Property owners in the City of Syracuse are eligible to receive up to 2 free trees per address to plant in their yards. A variety of tree species are available including native, edible, flowering, and both large and small trees to fit your yard. Trees will be available first-come-first serve at the Mile Marketplace.

Schedule of events

  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Greenhouse Open House - stop by the historic greenhouse, walk around, chat with City staff. 
  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Mobile Recreation Kids Games
  • 11 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.: Zumba (30-min sample classes with Stephanie)
  • 12 p.m.: Yoga (30-min sample class with Cassie)
  • 12:30 p.m.: Cardio Drumming (30-min sample class with Tammy)
  • 1 p.m.: Edible Plant ID Walk w/Kat Korba and the Syracuse University Urban Food Forest Project
  • 2:15 p.m.: Creekwalk Walking Tour to Kirk Park, led by City staff
