A message from Common Council President Helen Hudson:

  • "I am deeply humbled that this project is coming into fruition. Seven long years ago, I approached Senator May and asked for help in funding this project. She didn't hesitate. She saw the value in giving the community a stationary place to mourn their loved ones: babies, women, men, and children of all races and genders that have been lost to homicide. I would like to thank Mayor Walsh and his entire team for moving the Eternal Flame forward."
