Mayor Walsh Welcomes Eastwood Heights Land Swap Agreement that Keeps Open Path to Children's Rising Center

Statement by Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh on Common Council Authorization of Land Swap Agreement between the City of Syracuse and Syracuse Housing Authority (SHA):

“With Common Council’s authorization of the land swap agreement between the City of Syracuse and SHA, the Eastwood Heights renovation can now move forward. This agreement prioritizes city residents, ensuring not only improved housing conditions for the tenants of Eastwood Heights but incentives SHA to complete the steps necessary to get the Children Rising Center project at the Latimer Terrace site back on track. We are committed to supporting the needs of our residents and will continue to advocate for the success of the East Adams Neighborhood Transformation. I commend the Council’s approval of this agreement.”
