Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced a road reconstruction project on Butternut Street beginning Saturday, July 20. Crews will mill and pave Butternut Street from Lodi to North Salina Street. Work is expected from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with traffic reduced to one lane during milling. Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes if possible; detours will be in place. The milling portion of the project is expected to be completed in about one week; actual project timeframe is contingent on favorable weather.
