Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced a road reconstruction project on Peat Street beginning Saturday, May 25. Crews will mill and pave from Burnet Avenue to Erie Boulevard. The road will be closed during construction from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with traffic detours in place. Drivers may experience delays and are advised to use alternate routes if possible. The project is expected to be completed in about one week; actual project timeframe is contingent on favorable weather. Businesses on Peat Street will be accessible from Erie Boulevard.
