Statement by Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh on the Passing of Hon. Langston McKinney:
“Judge Langston McKinney was a person of kindness and wisdom, and he was generous with both in his interactions with all those who sought his assistance. Judge McKinney was widely respected as a pioneering legal mind and a defender of civil rights. He was equally admired for being the same person inside and outside the courtroom – a person whose life mission was to help people. There are countless stories from people across generations who were fortunate to engage with Judge McKinney and found their faith enhanced in both our humanity and our legal system. He will be profoundly missed.”
