Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced road reconstruction projects in the City of Syracuse beginning Thursday, October 12. Crews will mill and pave Whitter Avenue from Avery to Wilbur Avenue on the westside and Elmhurst Avenue from Hunt to South Avenue on the southside.
The roads will be closed to traffic with detours in place. Some areas may be inaccessible while work is occurring but should open back up quickly and without resulting in major detours. The project is expected to be completed in about one week; actual project timeframe is contingent on favorable weather.
