Mayor Walsh Announces Road Reconstruction in the Northside

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced road reconstruction projects in the Northside. Work will begin on Thursday, October 5. Crews will mill and pave the following roads:

• Hawley Avenue North McBride Street to Lodi Street
• North Crouse Avenue from Burnet Avenue to Lodi Street
• Oak Street from Lincoln Park Drive to Lodi Street
• Oak Place from Oak Street to Delhi Street (will be closed to all traffic with detours in place)

The roads, aside from Oak Place, will remain open to traffic with lane restrictions while work is occurring. Some areas may be inaccessible while work is occurring but should open back up quickly and without resulting in major detours. The project is expected to be completed in about one week; actual project timeframe is contingent on favorable weather.
