13-year-old leads Police on pursuit in stolen vehicle

On Tuesday, February 21st, 2023, at around 4:39 P.M., Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of Shonnard Street on a reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle refused to comply, and a traffic pursuit ensued.
The pursuit went on for a brief time until stopping at Fineview Place and Oakland Street. Officers approached the vehicle and were able to place the suspect, a 13-year-old male, in custody.
The 13-year-old was arrested and released on an appearance ticket for a later court date. Additionally, a Department vehicle and a non-involved citizen vehicle were damaged in the incident.
