Deadly Shooting on South State Street

On Saturday, July 8th 2023 at approximately 9:13 p.m. the Onondaga County 911 Center received a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of South State Street. Syracuse Police Officers were dispatched to the area to search for a scene and the victim. Officers located a male victim, identified as 37-year-old Daquan Sullivan, who was found to have been shot at least once. Despite life saving efforts by both law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel, Sullivan ultimately died as a result of his injuries.
The investigation into this shooting is active and ongoing, and anyone with information is strongly encouraged to call the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
