The City of Syracuse is soliciting proposals for Architectural and Contractor Services necessary to fix exterior code violations of blighted residential properties. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ’s) opened June 28, 2023 and will close on August 15, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.
The request for qualifications is the next step in moving forward with the City’s Blight Busting Program administered by the Department of Neighborhood and Business Development (NBD) as a tool to address chronic problem properties and enforce the City’s property management code. The City is seeking architects to plan and design corrections to exterior code violations and contractors to complete the work. The Blight Busting Program allows the City to correct exterior code violations at non-compliant properties and bill the owner for the cost of the repairs.
