Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced a road reconstruction project beginning Wednesday, July 6 on Valley Drive on the Southside of the city. Crews will mill (remove the top layer of existing pavement) and repave Valley Drive from South Avenue to West Newell Street.
Work is expected to take place between 7:00am and 5:00pm, during which the road will be closed to all traffic with detours I place. Milling is expected to be complete by the end of the day on Wednesday, July 6, and paving will start later in the week.
Actual project start dates and timeframes are contingent on favorable weather.
