The City of Syracuse is hosting its first Syracuse Data Challenge. This is a month-long contest where members of the community get the chance to use datasets from Open Data Syracuse to build an interesting data visualization, website application, data analysis, map, chatbot, or any other type of project that uses the featured dataset.
The challenge begins on Friday March 3rd and closes Friday March 31st at Midnight. The winner will be announced shortly after.
The winner will receive a $25 gift card to The Market Diner, thanks to our sponsor Syracuse Salesforce Developers Group. More importantly, the winner will be memorialized by having their work featured in the ‘Projects’ section of Open Data Syracuse and in our social media channels. They will also be invited to sign our innovator’s wall over at City Hall.
Anyone with an interest in open data for the public good can take part of the Syracuse Data Challenge. However, in order for us to deliver the winning prize you must be physically in Syracuse.
