The intent of this RFP is to obtain a Consultant to provide engineering services for the design phase of the Comstock Avenue Booster Pump Station Replacement Project on behalf of the Department of Water.

The City of Syracuse Department of Water (City) owns and operates a water distribution system located in Syracuse, NY that includes several booster pump stations (BPS). Some of the BPS’s supply water from the City's low elevation service zone to the City’s intermediate and high elevation service zones. Other BPS’s supply water to localized high elevation areas. The City identifies that several of the BPS’s are aging, in fair to poor condition, contain confined spaces, and nearing the end of their useful service lives.

The Comstock Booster Pump Station (CBPS) is a below grade BPS that was constructed in 1964. It is located on Comstock Avenue behind a mixed use complex located at 505 Walnut St. The City owned parcel is located between newly constructed apartment buildings.
