The City of Syracuse (City) Water Department (SWD) has been getting water for its roughly 40,000 customers from Skaneateles Lake since June of 1894. The Skaneateles Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is required by the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (USEPA) Chemical Accident Prevention Provisions (CAPP) for the development, implementation, and documentation of a system to manage the Risk Management Plan (RMP) Program.
The Update completed in July of 2024 identified several needs for the City to get into and maintain RMP compliance at the Skaneateles WTP RMP.
Through this Request For Proposals (RFP), it is the City’s goal to work with the successful contractor (Contractor) to get the RMP into compliance and maintain its compliance.
Sealed proposals will be received at the Division of Purchase, 213 City Hall, 233 E Washington St, Syracuse, NY 13202 until 2:30 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
