The City [of Syracuse] seeks submittals from qualified firms (“consultants”) to provide professional planning services for the first phase of a two-phased project to develop a new Comprehensive Plan (“Plan”). The City has allocated $49,500 in the current fiscal year budget (July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025) to complete Phase I of the development of a new Comprehensive Plan. The City anticipates that the Plan will have a new format and structure and provide a twenty-year vision for Syracuse.
The City intends to develop the new Comprehensive Plan with a focus on and acknowledgement of the need to include sustainability throughout the plan – a focus that will include social, economic and environmental sustainability, but also include sustainability in land use, housing, recreation, built environment, mobility, equity, climate resilience and quality of life.
