The City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs (the “City”) is soliciting proposals from property owners and/or authorized representatives of commercial space for a municipal dog shelter, with a strong preference for it being located within the municipal boundary of Syracuse, NY. The City is seeking proposals with particular emphasis placed on those that: 1) provide a safe and secure facility for employees and dogs; 2) offer accessibility for staff; and 3) align with the City’s objective to achieve and maintain fiscal sustainability. The City is seeking approximately 10,000 square feet, designed for 80 kennels (50 square feet/kennel) and 20 City staff members. The City will entertain both leasing and purchase opportunities.

Sealed proposals will be received at the Division of Purchase, 213 City Hall, 233 E. Washington Street, Syracuse, New York 13202 until 2:30 PM on August 6, 2024.
