If you wish to file a complaint against an officer with the Syracuse Police Department, please complete the form below. Please fill in as much information as possible.

As a complainant, you will be advised via mail by the Chief’s Office when an investigation has been initiated and again when the investigation has been completed.

If you simply want the Syracuse Police Department to know about your concerns, but do not wish to participate in the formal complaint process, you may file an anonymous complaint. All complaints are recorded and viewed by the Office of Professional Standards (OPS). All LGBTQ+ related complaints will be reviewed by the Human Resources Division.
