The Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs will be hosting three public input sessions to seek ideas for future South Side parks improvements. With close to 1 million dollars of upcoming project opportunities, the department is seeking community input to assist with the planning process. Each session will include information boards designed for the public to review and interact with. Staff from the Parks’ Planning & Development team will be onsite to answer questions.
The department will be seeking ideas and suggestions for projects with current allocated funding including:
Additionally, the department will also seek ideas and suggestions on other South Side parks including Baker Playlot, Danforth Park, Dunbar Park, Elmwood Park, Furman Park, Libba Cotten Park, McKinley Park, Meachem Park, Wadsworth Park, and Sankofa Park.
