Urban Forest Master Plan The Urban Forest Master Plan serves as a roadmap for how the Syracuse community can work together to protect, preserve and grow our urban tree canopy.
Tree Services The Forestry division oversees the management of 35,000 street trees and 10,000 parks trees scattered across 400 miles of road and 1,000 acres of parkland.
Schiller Park Forest Restoration Invasive trees and shrubs removal on the drumlin as well as on the hills up from the Bova Community Center in Schiller Park and replaced with native trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants.
Franklin Sqaure Fountain Restoration This project includes the temporary removal of the cast iron fountain to be restored to its original state.
African American & Hispanic Veterans Monument The City of Syracuse Department of Parks & Recreation and design consultant, Sekou Cooke Studio and Barton & Loguidice, will design and construct an African American & Hispanic Veterans Monument in Kirk Park. Contact: TonyWilliams@syr.gov
