ReLeaf Syracuse ReLeaf Syracuse is a program that helps grow and nurture trees in Syracuse. It also sets goals and makes plans for how to keep our city's trees healthy and thriving in the future.
Urban Forest Master Plan The Urban Forest Master Plan serves as a roadmap for how the Syracuse community can work together to protect, preserve and grow our urban tree canopy.
Tree Services The Forestry division oversees the management of 35,000 street trees and 10,000 parks trees scattered across 400 miles of road and 1,000 acres of parkland.
Tree Ordinance Modernization The goal of this project is to analyze current city codes and ordinances impacting trees, compile and review data, and solicit stakeholder and community feedback to develop a new, updated Municipal Tree Ordinance that will be used to carry out the recommendations of the adopted Syracuse Urban Forest Master Plan (2020) over the next 20 years.
