City of Syracuse Seeks Proposals for GHGI & Climate Action Plan

TYPE OF NOTICE: Request for Proposals  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  

The City of Syracuse Division of Planning and Sustainability is soliciting proposals to develop a consolidated community and municipal operations Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory (GHGI) and Climate Action Plan (CAP). The City is seeking a qualified consultant or team of consultants in professional planning and engineering services to inventory community and municipal operations. The inventory will inform a consolidated CAP and provide a feasible twenty-year vision for Greenhouse Gas emission reduction and climate mitigation within the city of Syracuse.  

The Request for Proposals (RFP) opened on Sunday, October 20 and will close on Tuesday, November 26 at 2:30 p.m. Click Here to view RFP #25-155. Written questions about the proposal will be accepted until Friday, November 8 by 5:00 p.m. 

Background  

The Division of Planning and Sustainability implements plans and other tools focused on land use, the environment, and urban design to improve the quality of life for all residents and visitors of Syracuse. The development of the GHGI and CAP will jumpstart the Division’s Sustainability Initiative to develop and implement sustainable actions for the Syracuse community. This project has been funded in part by the Climate Smart Communities Grant Program, Title 15 of the Environmental Protection Fund through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
